How do I know if this instructor can help me to learn? These are qualities we think set our instructors apart..

Experience-Teaching skills are acquired through contact with many different students over a long time. Our teachers have acquired experience.

Co-operation-There is co-operation between our instructors, the students, and the students parents.  There is also co-operation between our instructors. They share experiences and teaching techniques.

Commitment-It takes commitment to stay in the same field for the years these instructors have. They know how to get commitment from their students.

Business ethics-These teachers know it is their reputation that keeps them busy. They treat teaching as a business. Many “part-timers” look at teaching as just a few extra bucks, and may be less than reliable. Our instructors stay busy by giving the students the value for which they are paying.

Communication-Although proficiency with an instrument is important to be an instructor, proficiency alone does not make an instructor good. The ability to communicate those skills to many different students of different backgrounds and abilities is the hallmark of a good instructor.

Encouragement-Our instructors have found that encouragement, getting the students through the difficult parts of learning, is imperative to the success of their students.

If a successful learning experience is the most important part of what you are looking for in music instruction, consider lessons with these qualified individuals.

Randy Saunders

Randy Saunders has been a drum/percussion instructor for over twenty-five years. Randy has experience in all styles of music and enjoys teaching a variety of styles to his students. Randy is an excellent reader and can help the student whether the emphasis is on combo work, concert, marching, or orchestral percussion work.
Dan Bickel

Daniel Bickel has experience that seems unlikely for his age. Dan is an experieced musician playing bass in local area bands. Dan has a teaching degree in music education. Just out of school, Dan played bass at Cedar Point and cruise ships for a few years. He is the band instructor at Grass Lake Community Schools, and often assists other band directors preparing marching bands at band camps. Dan plays and teaches trombone, euphonium, tuba, trumpet, bass, and drums. He also teaches beginning woodwinds.

Give yourself the advantage of qualified instructors. Instructors who know how to educate, motivate, and elevate your proficiency with your instrument.

We at PMC understand that the success of our business is directly linked to the success of musical students. We believe that success can be greatly enhanced by lessons from a qualified instructor.

LESSON POLICY

1. Lessons are to be paid for one month in advance on the last lesson of the preceding month.

2. If you must miss a lesson you have paid for, there is no guarantee of a make up lesson, although one may be given that week if the teacher has an opening. There are no refunds or credit to the next month. The more advance notice the teacher has, the more likely the arrangements can be made for a make-up.

3. If you must cancel, please notify your teacher in advance so another student may have the opportunity for a make-up. Your teacher’s home phone, and store messaging system phone numbers are below. The phone messaging is 24 hour. Press your teacher’s mailbox number during the first message to access his mailbox and leave your message.

4. The above policies are not store policies, but the policies of the instructors.  Some teachers policies may be more detailed and the teacher will make the student aware of their specific policy.  These policies may not be changed by store personnel.  Any exceptions to these policies are left to the sole discretion of the teacher.

5. STORE POLICY-AFTER HOURS STUDENTS Students whose lessons are to begin at or after the time the store closes are asked to please wait outside for their instructor to allow them in for their lesson. No students or persons accompanying students will be allowed to wait unaccompanied by a teacher outside the lesson studio. This policy has become necessary for security reasons.
