Pastor Steve Smith along with praise and worship leader Brian McCaskey met the challenge of replacing a sound system that was designed before the demands of today's technology. Struggling for enough connections to accomodate contemporary music and electronic technology now used in worhsip, the choice was made to completely replace and existing system that simply did not function well, or provide the necessary features for the current demands. |
|
The unique shape of the sanctuary actually lended itself nicely to a center cluster speaker system. You can see the three speakers mounted to the second crossbeam in the picture on the right. Previously, two speakers were located on each side wall of the hexagonally shaped room. The sound was not well dispersed, and because of periodic changes over the years, wiring was also suspect as considerable noise was noticeable in the system.

Here is a closer view of the Peavey HV1282 speaker cabinets used for the front of house sound. The system was designed so when ready, Lake View can add a subwoofer to the system without the need for additional wiring. The addition of a subwoofer cabinet and power amplifier will be all that is needed.

There are enough channels for present, and future needs with this 32 channel Peavey RQ4032 mixer. With 6 auxilary sends and four subgroups, the church has many ways to grow in terms of music and theatrical uses. |
PMC appreciates the confidence Pastor Steve Smith and praise and worship leader Brian McCaskey expressed in using PMC for the design and facilitating the installation of their new sanctuary sound system.
