Sanctuary and fellowship hall sound installation.

Sacred Heart Chapel on East Michigan Ave in Jackson was somewhat of a challenge. The chapel had low ceilings, and separate rooms that needed sound.

Here you have a closer view of the speakers in the main room. These are part of the Peavey Sanctuary Series speaker line-up. They have a very low profile, so they can be mounted at ceiling level, even on low ceilings, and not drop to a level that is dangerous to taller people. You can tell in the photo above, that the speakers don't extend down further than the fans in the room.

Some time ago, the back of the currently existing chapel was a separate room. A wall was once removed to provide more seating. Because some structure still exists as support, the chapel still acts somewhat like two separate rooms. In order to provide a consistent sound level throughout the sanctuary, reinforcing speakers had to be installed in the back area of the sanctuary.

The same speaker cabinets were installed in the fellowship area of Sacred Heart. These also appeared to have once been two separate rooms. An audio signal is sent from the mixer in the chapel to provide sound, if needed, from the service to these rooms. This system can also be used separately from the sanctuary system to provided sound reinforcement for other meetings and functions in the fellowship hall.

A booth was constructed by Sauceda to house the mixer and processors for the sanctuary. PMC often helps members of the congregation to do the kind of work in a sound installation that they have the expertise to perform. This results in significant savings on sound installations.
